My name is Dhruv and I would like to thank you for visiting our website. I have been practising Indirect tax for over 15 years in various roles at different organisations. While working with various organisations, I noticed a constant struggle faced by start ups, small and medium businesses especially in dealing with sales tax.

The businesses were being served by either income tax practitioners or accountants who did not specialise in tax. This resulted in non-compliances, audits and tax liabilities which could not be recovered from customers. Identifying this empty service space, I decided to go into private practice with a vision to create a business that provides top tax advice at affordable rates. ​​
Thus, CanadaGST was born!
My Story
I have been working in indirect tax for over 15 years. I graduated from one of the top law schools in India in 2008 and later obtained a Masters degree from the George Washington University Law School in Washington DC.

After my Masters, I spent a few years in Ernst & Young (EY) and KPMG in India, before immigrating to Canada in 2016. Since 2016, I have worked at EY Canada and KPMG Canada as well as at smaller firms.

It was working at the smaller firms that I realised that working with large MNCs and financial institutions, I was unaware of the small and medium businesses who need specialised sales tax services but there is no one to service them. Accordingly, with the vision to service the small and medium businesses, I created Canada GST.
